Name: Princess Bonnibel Bubblegum - but in SH!verse, she'll just be known as Bonnibel Bubbington.

Personality: Princess Bubblegum (or PB, or Peebles, or Bonnibel) is generally a very sweet and friendly girl with a smile for everyone. She tends to make friends wherever she goes. If someone around her is down, she's the one who will find the time to cheer them up with a few bright words and more likely than not a few pieces of candy, too - she has quite the sweet tooth.

This doesn't mean she's a pushover, though. She has a very strong sense of morality about her. It tends to manifest itself in taking a very strong role in diplomatic relations with countries outside the Candy Kingdom. She's also not a princess you want to cross. PB is all too willing to torture the Ice King after he gets on her bad side one too many times. She flat-out hates the Duke of Nuts for reasons that aren't stated.

When she's in her official role, PB is very straight-laced and dedicated to what she's doing. But what she really loves? Science. She's almost always got an experiment running, whether it's a decorpsinator serum, liquid pyrotechnics, or simply trying to create the ingredients for the absolute perfect sandwich. She sometimes goes overboard with her experiments - while she claims it's because she's 'too smart to see' the solutions, sometimes she simply miscalculates, or spends so much time working on them that she exhausts herself.

Outside of her official role, she's much more casual. Her speech, her way of dressing, and her general manner are a lot more playful when she's not on duty. She's playful, giggly, and fond of pranks. What she seems to really love outside of being a smart, sciencey princess, though? Music. She's often seen singing and playing with her friends, and seems happy doing it. PB's personality? Bloobalooby!

Background (AU!Canon; HP): You know those wizarding families that are perfectly nice, if a bit odd? The Bubbingtons are one of those families. They have a candy shop bordering the wizarding district of Liverpool that's been there for years. They never turned away a customer, greeting everyone with a smile, whether Muggle or wizard. Mind you, the wizard candies have only been accessible via room you get to with a Portkey - you just had to know what to ask for, and that changed weekly.

But that wasn't all you could get. You see, the family's other passion? Potions. The shop absolutely stocked candy, yes, and did a brisk business in Chocolate Frogs and Fizzing Whizbees, but it did just as brisk a business in both basic and advanced potions. The Bubbington family were known as master potion-brewers. This is where that bit of oddness comes in, though: they liked to experiment with them. Tweak the formulas. See if they could make them better.

So it wasn't an uncommon sight to see one of them come out a bit charred thanks to a bad reaction between ingredients. It really wasn't uncommon to see someone with their hair turned orange or blue or pink after testing something new. The family kept a workshop in one of the back rooms. The one thing that did get attention? Seeing Bonnibel's mother working right up to the point she was almost born in the back of the shop. Her mother insisted that she was fine, needed to keep working, but finally had to set those tweaks aside once her water broke.

Bonnibel was a charmer from the moment she came home. She was a constant presence both in the shop's front and in the workshop. Once, right around her eighth birthday, she got into a potion that turned her hair pink. She was told to stay inside, but that didn't faze her in the slightest. When everyone wasn't looking, she loaded up her pockets with wrapped candies and pieces of gum, then went for a walk. Her family found her two hours later, having handed out all of that candy, floating off the ground a little, chewing a piece of gum and laughing up a storm. That earned her the nickname 'Princess Bubblegum', and it was really no surprise when her Hogwarts letter arrived three summers later.
